Caring for Our Community during COVID-19
Among all the chaos and stress of recent events, Lorain Cooperative Ministry is committed to continued care and service to our community. Our meals and pantries will remain open. However, procedures are a bit different. In order to ensure the safety of everyone involved, we are adhering to strict guidelines for food distribution. Respecting food safety and social distancing practices, meals will be offered brown bag to-go style and pantries will be pre-packed and offered by drive-through or walk-up method. We will still require registration at pantries, but will hold no-contact procedures. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we strive to continue services in an ever changing atmosphere.
Services Available during COVID-19
Avon Lake Presbyterian – monthly meal cancelled until further notice
Christ Lutheran – 2nd & 4th Monday 6-8pm pantry days continue: choice walk-thru pantry
Community Congregational – 2nd Monday 5:30-7:30pm meal to-go; 4th Sunday 12pm meal at Episcopal Redeemer open; bagged to-go meal, distributed outside
Episcopal Redeemer – weekly Wednesday 12pm-1pm lunches and weekly Thursday 6-8pm meals continue; bagged to-go meal, distributed outside
First Lutheran – 2nd Thursday 10am pantry day will be open; weekly Tuesday morning 10-11:30am meal suspended until further notice
Greater Victory – 1st & 2nd Saturday 11:30am pantry and meal days continue: pre-packed hand-out pantry items; bagged to-go meal
Heritage Presbyterian– 2nd Thursday 10am pantry day will be open; pre-packed hand-outs, drive through method
Lorain Lighthouse UMC– 4th Thursday 1pm food pantry will be open; pre-packed hand-outs, drive through method
St. Johns UCC– Clothing Pantry closed until further notice
Front Door Ministry – Tuesdays 10-11:30am will be open

Hats and scarves were given to help keep guests warm while waiting for lunch to-go. Hoping the weather will cooperate as we move forward with serving meals to-go outside.
